This policy explains how Cobalt Harbour Hospitality Ltd. ("Cobalt Harbour", "we", "us"), operator of Cobalt Harbour Hotel & Casino and of this website, handles personal information. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
- Information you send us — your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, room preferences and any other details you include when you write to reservations or call the hotel.
- Stay information — details needed to host you, such as arrival times, special requests, and the photo ID we check at the gaming floor entrance to confirm you are 19 or older.
- Website information — technical data your browser sends when you visit, such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and the referring page, collected through server logs and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
How we use it
- To answer enquiries, prepare quotes and manage reservations.
- To welcome you during your stay and provide the services you ask for.
- To meet legal duties, including age verification for gaming and record-keeping required by law.

Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the hotel and this website (for example hosting, email and payment processing), under contracts that require them to protect it, and with authorities when the law requires it. Some providers may store information outside British Columbia or Canada; when that happens it is protected by contract and may be accessible to authorities in that country under its laws.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to optional uses such as marketing. Write to us at the address below and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Children
This website is intended for adults. The gaming floor is open only to guests 19 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.
